Sanders/Cruz Healthcare Debate

Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz (Lyin’ Ted) debated the future of healthcare and the ACA last night on CNN. You can watch it here.

I watched it. The obvious joke is something like “Old man seeking healthcare for millions disrupts attorney Eddie Munster’s Sermon.”

Sanders made some good points about how the Republicans are not prepared to replace Obamacare, and at one point concluded that Cruz agreed with his Medicare-for-All plan. Cruz did his usual compassion-drip garbage talk and, I think, failed to explain even theoretically his party’s plan to insure poor and sick Americans, let alone explain the real policy that everyone knows does not exist.

Cruz did make one great point, spread out over about an hour: England created the NHS (bad) and Margaret Thatcher (good). I wasn’t following his logic by this point, to say the least.

Democrats need to hold as many of these events as possible. The sooner people start to understand that Trump & Co. don’t care AT ALL about working people the better. This is all about 2018, at this point.

THERE IS NO REPUBLICAN PLAN TO INSURE THE POOR AND THE SICK AND THE WORKING CLASS.
